About Me I'm friendly, eager to meet new people and very easy to get along with. I love life and take everything as it comes. I'm also a creative person who loves to make beautiful things. As a result,I have many hobbies and I enjoy sharing them with others.
Music Everything. Very Ecclectic. Whatever gets me daydreaming/dancing: no genre is safe! Aside from more popular or conventional genres, I like the Final Fantasy Series video game music, J-pop, movie soundtracks, European Death and Power Metal and, of course, Faire music.
Movies I love a lot of different movies, but the genres I prefer are:

Classic Comedy (like Mel Brooks & Monty Python)

    Animated/Anime (Disney & Hayao Miyazaki)

Fantasy (Labyrinth, Princess Bride, Ever After, Lord of the Rings, Pirates, etc.)
TV I don't watch TV. It doesn't really interest me. I get my entertainment from movies and the internet. I generally prefer to watch complete seasons of shows and collect box sets rather than miss episodes or sit through commercials and reruns.

Generally, I like historical drama, crime solvers (esp.CSI) and anime.
Books The Harry Potter series is my most recent achievement. I used to read book-books a lot more when I was younger, but now I prefer reading manga and collecting beautiful art books for my coffee table.
    Likes Faire

    and making stuff

    and meeting people

and, well, see my hobbies below...
Dislikes Country and Hip-Hop music. I can't really identify with either genre, though I still listen to several songs classified as such.

Olives-- They make me gag. That's why I feed them to my rats.
Hobbies Just to name a few:

    Playing Final Fantasy games

    Making semi-precious and silver jewelry

    Carousing at Faire

    Listening to music

    Watching anime

    Playing piano (20 yrs now)

    Pencil drawing

    Going to Karaoke

    Daydreaming
Vices Qualities I detest the most are:

    Ignorance

    Irrationality

    Petty Nit-Picking

    Buzz-killing

    & Hypocracy
Virtues Qualities I value most are: Bravery, Loyalty, Love and Doing the Right Thing Regardless
Heroes My favorite heroes are characters from Final Fantasy games. My favorites are Cloud and Tidus.

    Huzzah for Burns Dinner!!!

    Sunday, January 11, 2009, 11:39 AM [General]

Huzzah! It's Burns Dinner time again!!!

Once again, the New York Rennaisance Faire Friends of Faire organization will be having its Annual Burns Dinner and mid-winter business meeting on Jan 24-25, 2009.  There will be HAGGIS, MEAD and MAD PIRATE REVELRY!!! What's not to like about that?

As a tribute to last year's amazing party, here's a few fond memories:

    1. DRUNKEN PIRATES PLAYING LIAR'S DICE UNTIL 4 AM. As it got to be later in the evening, the "You're a %*$^#^%&$^ Liar!!!" obscene epithets grew longer. We pretty much decided that it was time to quit when we could no longer remember whose turn it was.

    2. REALLY BAD B-MOVIES ON SCI-FI. Savoi Faire and I coined the term "Gark" on Sunday morning while watching a Sci-Fi movie marathon to ease our hangover headaches. It means "Gator-Shark", and it was created when we kept confusing the Lake Placid gator with a shark, since the movie was like a bad rip-off of Jaws. Then later on we had fun counting the rediculous abundance of phalic references in the movie Mosquito. Too funny!

    3. PANCAKES. Big sweet fluffy chocolate-chip pancakes. YUM.

Here's to another great time at NYRF-FOF Burns Dinner 2009!

    See everyone there!!!

    STEPHIROTH!

    Tuesday, October 14, 2008, 7:08 PM [General]

    Once upon a time...

Stephiroth went looking for "Mother" in the Chocobo Forest...

when suddenly, a noise came from behind! Quickly, Stephiroth drew her ridiculously large Masamune and readied to slay the disturber of her incessant brooding...

Gravely disappointed that she could not display this particular disturber, Stephiroth greets a friendly pirate-fairy who offers her information regarding the last remains of Jenova.

She suggests that Stephiroth travel to Philly-gar to find what she seeks and then vanishes abruptly.

Stephiroth vows to find "Mother" at all costs, and decides to pursue this lead.

Before she reaches Philly-gar, however, Stephiroth makes a quick stop in the Forgotten City to dispatch an annoying little Ancient by the name of Aeris. "You've used transform materia to turn yourself into a cat? That's lame," Stephiroth scoffed "You can't fool me, I'm genetically superior..."

At long last, Stephiroth heads off to Philly-gar.

Slowly and vengefully, she makes her way through Sector 7.

When she gets to the convention hall where "Mother" is supposed to be, Stephiroth is greatly disappointed. She had been tricked by that pirate-fairy to come to FairyCon 2008. This is the last time that this fairy was seen alive, and free of bloodstains...

Just in case that ex-pirate-fairy was telling the truth about "Mother" being here, Stephiroth scopes the perimeter.

Suddenly, the overwhelming cuteness and happiness of the whole place began to consume Stephiroth. It began to fester and twist her mind. Terrified at this despicable turn of events and disappointed by the failure of her search, she fled the premises.

Disgusted by the happy-toxins that were filling the building, Stephiroth went berserk and quickly turned Philly-gar into another "incident" like Nibelheim. It cost Shin-Ra billions to rebuild and repopulate by week's end.

Moral of the story: Fairies shouldn't F&$% with STEPHIROTH!

    THE END.... or is it?
